Animal Russian dolls
Here are some recent drawings I have done - in colour which is a change for me! My trusty sharpie pen is still the nĂºmero uno star of the pics though - ohh I love a steady black line in my drawings! Enjoy these critters xx

Audrey on Fashion (capital F)
"Hmm, what?! Ah no, I don't think people wear skivvy's to like, hide weak chins. I mean it's, like, a fashion forward look. You know? On trend, well on-forward trend for, like, when it is cool. Not that I will wear it, like, then because, like, that would be too, um, ah mainstream. You know?!..."

Cartoons
Nestled in lots of different visual art diaries are cartoons with wee quips that seem to pop into my head as I am drawing. I have grandish plans to put them all together and make something (along the lines of a book or series of postcards as opposed to a quilt or frock). Anyways, best laid plans and all that... in the meantime whilst procrastinating ahem I mean organising my thoughts I figured I'd put them on here for anyone who stumbles by to see. Enjoy XX

Well, helloooo 2012
A new year, like a fresh, shiny, new page! If years were newly acquired sequinned stationary that is (now, there's an idea for the world of paper - sequins!). Some people don't make resolutions, and some people like me, make so many that I have trouble remembering them all. Am resisting the urge to make a resolution to remember my resolutions. Afterall, what are lists for? Anyways, Happy New Year!

Round - Illustratration Friday Word of the Week
The word this week is Round. When I was little my brother had a "Round tuit", which was basically a piece of round wood that hung on the door and had text on it along the lines of "I am a round tuit. You always said that you would do [insert large list of chores] when you got a round tuit now you have a round tuit you can." How I coveted that "round tuit" and how I admired its word play, marvelling at the cleverness of it - round tuit = around to it! (NB that exclamation mark belonged to my seven year old self). I wonder if the round tuit will ever make a comeback, surely some geezer is churning them out for some market somewhere. Or maybe someone could make a round tuit app. Think of the market - all family, friends and partners of the procrastinator who has everything (well nearly everything).

Water ladies
Bit of a nautical theme today, must be because the sun is shining. And, maybe a smidgey bit because I love the sea, whatever the weather.
PS Swim girl's eyes are a little too far apart, perhaps that should read 'swim alien'? Actually, I can kinda picture her green, or blue. A bit like the sea.

Vanity - Illustration Friday word of the week
Imelda, now 72, felt comfortable admitting she'd had a little 'work' done.

Wellington in postcards
Here is a series of Wellington postcard drawings I did. Not that I've done anything with them yet...
And lastly, no your eyes aren't playing tricks (although you may be sozzled, no way of me knowing), the final, bit wonky card. Ahem, I said WONKY. Not anything else, mind, gutter, out.
Let it be said, I love Wellington, madly, deeply, truely...but not in a gushy way...
